Round up for Cancer

A simple year-round program where local businesses partner with us by asking patrons to round up their bill to the next dollar. The change goes straight to cancer survivors in Calhoun County.

Battle Cancer Community Alliance is partnering with local businesses to raise money for cancer survivors right here in Calhoun County. Pick a month, ask your patrons to round up, and you have helped your neighbors.

The concept

Pick a month. Round up at the register.

You pick a month that works for your business and dedicate it to Battle Cancer. During that month, your team asks every patron at checkout if they want to round up to the next whole dollar. The change goes to Battle Cancer Community Alliance.

That is it. No special equipment, no separate till, no donation jar. Just a question at the register and a quick total adjustment.

What it pays for

Every dollar stays in Calhoun County.

Funds raised through Round Up help local people once they have a cancer diagnosis. Money goes toward medical bills, mortgage and rent, utilities, food, and the realities of life after a diagnosis.

Battle Cancer Community Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Donations are tax-deductible (EIN 33-2922455). Patrons who want to give more can also donate directly at battlecancerbc.org.

How to take part

  • Reach out. Tell us your business and the month you would like to dedicate.
  • We provide a small countertop sign and register prompt so your team can ask patrons to round up.
  • Run the program for the month. No new tech to learn, no extra till.
  • Send the total at month-end. We deposit it directly into the 501(c)(3) account and recognize your business.
